Fees

Other teachers charge $30 for a 30 minute lesson. That's $60 an hour. My rate is $50 an hour. Your fee covers:

  • Teacher with Degree of M.Mus. in Piano Pedagogy and MTNA National Certification, attending conferences every year to continue education.
  • Practice motivators (stickers, bubble gum, similiar small rewards).
  • I pay students' enrollment in musiclearningcommunity.com.
  • I pay fees for festivals, competitions, and recitals. I also pay for books and sheet music.
  • Recitals, local music festivals, assistance with preparation for talent shows.
  • One composer camp or one field trip per semester to a concert.

About Mandy

In April of 2009, Mandy was a panelist at the Music Teachers National Association Conference, on a program titled "From Learning To Earning".

Mandy has been providing Atlanta piano lessons for twelve years, now servicing Midtown Atlanta. She was recently president of the Atlanta Music Teachers Association, and currently directs the chapter's MusicFest.

She recently served as a keyboard instructor for Girls Rock Camp ATL. She also one a Piano Technician's Guild Scholarship, one of only two given nationally each year. Starting this spring, she will be sponsoring a student through the MusicLink Foundation. She provided background music for a fundraiser at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead last August, and occasionally performs for weddings, receptions and various private functions.
